Laima Ramonienė

This author loves epic storytelling.
Michailas Lermontovas, MCYRIS, 1982

Her illustrations are undefined in space, yet this boosts the imagination of the readers even more. Ramonienė aims to portrait expressive, fluid traits of the characters.

She has created illustrations for children’s books, such as Jonas Biliūnas’ “Joniukas” [Little John], but Ramonienė is best known for her work in heraldry, authoring the coats of arms of many cities – Pagėgiai, Onuškis, Vaškai, Raudėnai, Naujoji Ūta, Kiduliai, Seirijai, and so on. The artist researches Lithuanian folk art and culture, and is part of the Lithuanian Fellowship of Art Historians.
